The Strength of

Thoughtful Planning

In my experience, recovering from abuse requires a certain amount of strategic planning. It's helpful to set achievable goals for gradual progress, because each small step forward contributes to the overall recovery journey.

Remember, trauma affects not only our mind but also our physical body. Thus, I have found that embracing a holistic approach - one that nurtures the body, mind, and spirit - is key to healing.

Empower yourself by seeking out resources that have been informed by first-hand experience, and take charge of your path to recovery and healing today.

My Mission

My mission is to share my personal journey to empower and inspire others who are also on a path of recovery from abuse.

My aim is to build a collection of resources for survivors that outline my first-hand experiences about strategies that proved useful, things didn't work, things I have learned, and things I would do differently.

I hope to provide you with useful insights and inspire you to keep moving forward. Please keep in mind these resources are meant to complement therapeutic interventions and should not be seen as a substitute for counselling and/or crisis support services. If you are struggling, please reach out to a professional for help.

If you're struggling to cope, then please

Reach out for help:

1-2
Talk to a wise friend

In challenging times, having a chat with a friend can make a world of difference. Whilst they may not offer the same guidance as a counsellor, their love and care can truly uplift you.

3-2
Contact a support service / crisis centre

If you find yourself in need of support, please reach out to a local support service and request to speak with a counsellor. You can locate a support service through an online search, or by asking your doctor for a referral.

2-2
Call emergency services

In case of an emergency, dial your local emergency number. It's important to seek support and reach out for help. Remember, there are compassionate people available to assist you.
